Discounted NEW Clothing Available for GOD’s Closet
To make a monetary donation:
- Write a check:
- payable to Cascade SDA church.
- Memo: “For God’s Closet”.
The money would be used to purchase new clothing at a very low cost. Julie Ward has access to a generous discount at Carter’s Baby Store. We could get clothing for as much as 50% off with an additional 30% discount.
TIP: Get used clothing sizes NB-12.
This is a fantastic way to meet your neighbors and encourage them to donate clothing. Remember to give them a flyer (available at the church), knock on your neighbors’ doors, talk about the program, and offer to have them drop clothing off at your home (place a sticker with your address on the flyer). This could be a beautiful way to connect with neighbors.
God’s Closet Plan
We are looking for children’s clean clothing NB – 12 years of age. If you, your family, friends, co-workers, etc., have children’s clothing that they have outgrown, please bag them up and bring them to church. The large storage container in back of the church will be made available for families who cannot afford to buy new clothes for their children. We are putting shelves in the container, so the clothes will be sorted by size and people will have easy access to the clothes they are looking for. More details on this as we progress, but for now, please keep this project in mind and tell your family and friends to save their children’s clothes for this project. Thank you!
